About KEE
The courses are based on my extensive training and qualifications in areas such as TRE, Equine Touch, Masterson Method, Contact Care Flinchlock Release Technique, The Trust Technique, Equine Assisted Learning, BodyTalk Access for Humans and Animals and Reiki Level II. Some of these are Bodywork modalities which have been shown to have benefits to people’s physical and emotional wellbeing.
I have also taught in secondary and tertiary institutions for several decades and hold Degrees and Certificate IV Training credentials so I have an understanding of learning and delivery of the Experiences I have written for this course. I have also completed various short courses in Mental Health First Aid, Meditation, Self Hypnosis and Breathing and Mindfulness Techniques among others.
I have worked for many years with young (and not so young) adults with a range of mental health disorders, so I feel I have some understanding of people who feel a little tired and overwhelmed with the pace of their lives.
You will find the simple Experiences are a very powerful catalyst for finding a little more peace in your lives. I am not a therapist but a facilitator and the Modules are experiential rather than talk centred.
Why Horses?
The horse is an ideal partner in this experience as it lives only in the present. That is, it is mindful. It will respond to each individual and each situation differently and will respond to you by the way you are in the moment. You can’t control the horse, you can only control your own thoughts and feelings. The horse is not capable of lying, it will either act out of fear or trust following its instincts for survival. The horse can sense your thoughts and feelings from your body language and it is through your intentions and body language that you will communicate to them (either in a positive or negative way). You need to be the leader, you need to set consistent boundaries, but most importantly you need to be clear, peaceful and trustworthy.
Why KEE?
KEE is set in a relaxing atmosphere surrounded by nature. This presents you with space and privacy in order to utilise the well documented benefits of both being in nature and gentle exercise to complement the benefits of mindful practices along with the power of the horse.
Some Information
Our property is a non smoking area and we have a 20 km/h maximum speed limit.
As this is a working property, we ask that you don’t wander without our supervision as there are trip hazards. Please do not bring unsupervised children as you will need your full attention on the Experience.
This is an outdoor experience, so be prepared for varying weather conditions. This is the reason we take a winter break, but if the weather is OK during the break, feel free to email us to discuss an appointment.
Outdoor covered shelter is used, but depending on the experience, you may need a hat and/or warm waterproof clothing.
Please wear sturdy comfortable closed in shoes (joggers or boots are fine).
As we have a range of weather proof facilities, it is very unlikely that we will cancel an Experience. You will be given as much notice as possible in this case.
You need to give at least 24 hours notice if you cancel for any reason and your payment can be transferred to another timeslot.
Depending on the situation, an Experience may be changed during the session to adapt to the circumstances.
At no time will you intentionally be put into a situation where you will be unsafe.
People with mobility restrictions will be able to access the majority of our Experiences.

There is a great deal of Scientific Research on horses and their benefits in this field. I have added a couple of such references below.
